Starting point

Two cuisines,
one image.

Fusion cuisine lives from contrast and balance – and from dishes guests may not know at first glance. A menu with names alone explains little: which components, how spicy, which allergens?

The design combines both: a calm entry with logo and food photography and, in the concept, an interactive 3D menu in which guests turn a dish and see its components. At the table a QR code leads to the same menu.

  • Food in the picture

A board of sushi on wood fills the first screen.

  • Logo at the centre

A red circle with calligraphy connects Japan and Vietnam in one mark.

  • Understand the dishes

In the concept a 3D menu shows components, portion size, spiciness and allergens.

  • Book and order

Online booking and a QR menu at the table use the same data.

The solution

One design,
three jobs.

Each layer answers a question guests have before ordering.

  • Spark curiosity

Food photography and logo create a calm, appetising entry.

    Effect

    An appetite for the visit

  • Explain the dishes

The 3D menu in the concept lets guests turn a dish and see its parts.

    Effect

    Order with more confidence

  • Trigger the booking

Booking on the website, the same menu via QR code at the table.

    Effect

    One menu for every path

Fine-tuning

Details that carry
the design.

The character of the page comes from a few elements that are repeated consistently.

  • Red circle

A red circle in the logo is the only strong colour in the hero.

  • Calligraphy

Brush strokes in the logo connect the two cuisines graphically.

  • Softened photo

The food photo is lightened so that the logo stays in front.

  • Diagonal board

The wooden board runs diagonally through the image and gives the hero movement.

  • Side navigation

A white bar with red links replaces the usual header navigation.

  • Little text

The first screen shows only logo and name; everything else follows on scrolling.

Process

From idea to
finished design.

In four steps, with one clear question per phase.

  1. Phase 01

    UI/UX strategy

The starting point was how guests can understand unfamiliar dishes before ordering.

  2. Phase 02

    Image and brand idea

Food photography and a logo that connects two cuisines in one mark.

  3. Phase 03

    Interface design

A light, softened image, a red accent and a side navigation.

  4. Phase 04

    Menu and booking

3D menu, QR menu and booking on a shared data base.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does a website for a restaurant cost?

The investment depends on the scope: number of pages, menu, interactive elements such as a 3D menu, and booking. Kulimo develops custom concepts and gives you a clear budget range in the intro call.

Is a 3D menu worth it for a restaurant?

Mainly where guests do not know the dishes. A 3D menu shows components and portion size more clearly than a photo; for a short, familiar menu good photography is often enough.

Why run the website and QR menu from one data base?

So that prices, dishes and allergens are the same everywhere. When the menu changes, it is up to date on the website and at the table at once.
