- Clubs & associations
Your association needs a new website. One that members actually use.
Events with registration, a members’ area with login and a membership form with SEPA mandate – built for volunteers who are short on time. Clubs go live in two to four weeks, associations in four to eight, chambers in six to ten.

The situation
Dates live in emails and chat groups, minutes and circulars are scattered, and the website is run by one person who doesn’t really have time for it. New members print out a membership form, and event registrations are counted by hand.
Associations and chambers add several editors, approvals and obligations: accessibility, data protection and a correct legal notice with board, register court and registration number.
Our solution
We build your website with WordPress and a custom theme around day-to-day club life: an event calendar with registration, capacities, waitlist and reminder emails; a members’ area with login for minutes, circulars and committees; membership (SEPA mandate) and donation forms without third-party tracking; a newsletter with double opt-in and an approval workflow so nothing unreviewed goes live.
We connect your membership software through its API – if there isn’t one, we build one or set up import and export. Accessibility follows WCAG 2.1 AA, and for chambers it forms the technical basis for BITV 2.0 and the accessibility statement. We don’t show club logos we don’t have – our experience comes from portals and admin apps with roles, permissions and data protection.
Web design for clubs & associations in detailProcess & details
From board decision to launch in five steps:
- 01Intro call & requirements
- 02Structure & content
- 03Design
- 04Development & features
- 05Handover, training & launch
Helpful for the intro call: logo and colours, bylaws, existing copy and photos, and the name of your membership software. State associations, sports federations or municipalities sometimes fund digitisation projects – this usually requires a written fixed quote, which you get from us. We’re happy to show you our club and association website designs in the intro call.

Frequently asked questions
What does a club website cost?
It depends on scope: a members’ area, paid registrations, integrations or BITV requirements increase it. After the intro call you receive a written fixed quote; there is also a social rate for non-profit organisations.
Can volunteers maintain the website themselves?
Yes. Content is entered through simple input forms, with training, a quick guide and permissions per role.
Do we actually need a members’ area?
Only if minutes, circulars or a member directory should be restricted to members. Small clubs often don’t need one – we clarify this in the intro call.
Does our club website have to be accessible?
Chambers and other public-law bodies must meet BITV 2.0. For clubs and associations it depends on what they offer, for example ticket sales to consumers under the BFSG. This is not legal advice; we build to WCAG 2.1 AA regardless.
Who hosts the website?
German providers such as IONOS, Strato, All-Inkl or Hetzner, under a contract in your organisation’s name. The website and logins belong to you.
