The situation
The website was built – and then nobody looked after it. Updates for WordPress, the theme and plugins are piling up in the backend, nobody knows whether there’s a current backup, and the first to notice a broken contact form is a customer.
Typical trigger: the original agency or freelancer can no longer be reached, your host warns about an outdated PHP version – or you don’t dare click “Update” because something might break.
Our solution
We take over ongoing technical care: core, theme and plugin updates followed by checks of forms, bookings, checkout and language switching, daily or weekly encrypted backups stored away from the web server, plus security, performance and error monitoring. Critical security updates are installed with priority.

In the free website check (15 minutes) we look at your WordPress and PHP versions, plugins and themes, existing backups, load time, SSL and obvious security gaps. Onboarding covers a secure handover of logins, a first backup, monitoring set-up and catching up on pending updates – with a staging environment if needed.

What does a WordPress maintenance contract include?
At KULIMO: updates with functional checks, encrypted off-site backups, security, performance and error monitoring, small content changes within an agreed quota, technical support, a monthly report and emergency help with incidents.
How much does website maintenance cost?
It depends on how complex the installation is, business-critical features such as a shop, bookings or integrations, the update and backup rhythm and the content quota. After the free website check you receive a written fixed quote with a fixed monthly price – no hourly billing.
How often are updates installed?
Weekly or monthly, depending on the plan. Critical security updates are installed with priority regardless; for shops and booking systems, tests on a staging environment are available.
Do you take over websites built by other agencies?
Yes, after a website check. If needed, we tidy up first: removing unused plugins, catching up on updates, sorting out logins.
What happens if an update breaks something?
We restore the last state from the backup, find the cause and then install the update again – that’s part of the contract. Term and notice period are stated transparently in the quote.
